Wilson Daniels Blind Tasting, 2/22/26

We are excited to host Emily Zegar of Wilson Daniels, importer of some of the most sought after wines in the world, for a special BLIND tasting on Sunday, February 22nd at 5:30pm.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Judgement of Paris we are excited to host a blind tasting of Old World versus New World wines. The Judgement of Paris was held in 1976; an elite tasting between French and California wines to celebrate the American Bicentennial in Paris. The wines were evaluated blindly by nine French wine experts, and the results shocked the wine world. The Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars 1973 S.L.V. Estate Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded the highest red wine score above the famous Château Mouton-Rothschild and Château Haut-Brion. And the 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay took the highest honor among the white wines. This tasting garnered so much attention around the world that it helped establish Napa Valley's wine reputation.

Blind tastings always add another layer of fun to the process, and we've selected quite a line up for you to enjoy, including wines from Leflaive, Faiveley, Hyde de Villaine, Bergstrom and Chateau Montelena (one of the producers who won in 1976!). And, as usual, we will begin the tasting with a sparkling wine, but you'll have to guess where it's from!

Seating is limited; reservations are required.

We will also have nibbles to accompany your tasting. As usual, all wines tasted will be sold at a discount as a thank you for participating in the tasting!
