RouteStock Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2023
RouteStock invites enthusiasts to explore the rich legacy of winemaking in Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Each bottle offers a glimpse into the deep-rooted traditions of Northern California’s fine wine heritage, reflecting the iconic routes that traverse its vineyards and the roots that yield world-renowned grapes. An initiative of Wilson Daniels, a Napa-based importer, RouteStock is celebrated for delivering exceptional quality at an attractive price.
Central to RouteStock’s philosophy is the careful selection of top-tier fruit from renowned vineyards along famous routes in Napa and Sonoma. The winery collaborates with a select group of dedicated grape growers in prime viticultural regions: Napa Valley for Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, and the Sonoma Coast for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. These appellations were chosen to enhance each varietal's distinctive qualities, ensuring the production of outstanding wines that showcase their unique characteristics.
RouteStock’s winemaking approach emphasizes minimal intervention, allowing the grapes to reveal their true essence. By using native yeasts, natural malolactic fermentation, and avoiding chemical additives, RouteStock ensures that each vintage reflects its authentic origins. The winemaking process is guided by the grapes themselves, not constrained by preconceived styles.
Tasting notes
The wine has a beautiful Burgundy color with spicy aromas of cardamom, red fruit, soy sauce and bay laurel. The flavors pop with red fruits, spice, white pepper, orange peel and black tea. The wine is dry, complex, mediumbodied, silky and seductive, all with savory lingering finish.

Vibrant and intense, this red goes deep on red forest berries, pomegranates, blood oranges and hibiscus. Tense and succulent with a medium body, this is so juicy and fruit-driven, with plenty of citrus freshness and a dusty tannic frame. Pure, delicious and long. Drink or hold. -James Suckling (94 Points)
