Património Au Léu Grande Escolha Touriga Nacional 2023
Património Au Léo began in January 1964, founded by António Francisco Bonifácio who, from a young age, dedicated himself to cultivating vineyards and producing high-quality wines. For more than 40 years, he managed the business with a clear vision: to achieve the highest quality wines while meeting the demands of an ever-evolving market. The following generations have preserved this commitment, maintaining a balance between tradition and innovation. Values such as dedication, respect for the terroir, and a constant pursuit of excellence remain at the core of the company’s philosophy.
Located in the Lisbon wine region, north of the Tagus River, this is one of Portugal’s most prolific areas, comprising ten sub-regions, including Torres Vedras, the municipality with the largest wine production in the country. With fertile soils, a mild climate, and an average annual rainfall of 700 mm, the natural conditions favor the production of unique wines. In the vineyards, grape varietals are cultivated in clay-limestone soils with low fertility; the grapes mature under conditions that enhance the concentration of tannins, essential for structured wines with great aging potential.
On the nose, black fruits stand out, wrapped in floral notes of violet and a hint of bergamot. On the palate, it offers balanced acidity and well-defined tannins, revealing structure and harmony. A wine with excellent ageing potential, crafted to evolve with elegance over the years.
