Shiba Wichern Nuestro Sueño Pinot Noir 2022
From the winery:
Akiko met Tom, the owner of Nuestro Sueño, while working as an intern at St. Innocent during her first harvest in Oregon. We made our first two vintages of wine at Tom's small winery and started using fruit from his vineyard in 2015. We've known Tom our entire time in Oregon and know that we can rely on him to do most of the vineyard work for us at Nuestro Sueño. The tasks that we take over are picking, some minor canopy management and the yield control.
Nuestro Sueño is located at the southern end of the Eola Amity Hills AVA and is always our earliest ripening vineyard. 2022 was not an exception. We picked Nuestro Sueño on Sept 12 and 14; a few days before Bellevue Cross and over a week earlier than Havlin.
