Finca la Capilla Merlot 2020
Finca la Capilla is a boutique winery in the heart of Ribera del Duero D.O. in the province of Burgos. It boasts 60 hectares of our own vineyards in the areas of Roa, Anguix and La Horra. Finca La Capilla is located in a mountainous region and harbors a small plot of about 2,000 Merlot plants of around 40 years old called “La Cofradía”. The soil is rich and slightly clayey, the strong ferrous layers favour the great personality inof this lively and intense wine.
Full-bodied and intense wine with an expressive aroma. Wide range of red fruits, redcurrants and plums with notes of honey, toast, spices and dark chocolate. Harmonious and ample palate with polished tannins that exude elegance and distinction. Perfect with grilled, braised or roasted meats, poultry, pork or lamb. Also, with cured cheeses.

Merlot is an authorized grape variety in the D.O. Ribera del Duero, usually used to give longevity to great aged wines. Nevertheless, the regulations don’t allow it to be used exclusively. That’s why taking into account its uniqueness and great expression we prefer to launch this wine as “Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y Leon”.
