Brigaldara Valpolicella 2023
Brigaldara is a historic villa in the Marano valley, 120 hectares of land, of which 47 are planted, distributed in 3 different areas of the Veronese province: Valpolicella Classico, Valpantena and Valpolicella Orientale. A historic family, the Cesari, have owned it since 1929 and are committed to the enhancement of a rich and diverse viticultural heritage.
Brigaldara is now led by Stefano Cesari, who with the help of his sons Antonio and Lamberto, is engaged in the enhancement of the land both from a winemaking standpoint and through the conservation of native biodiversity and sustainability.
Tasting notes
Valpolicella is produced from the vinification of fresh grapes, mainly Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella. The harvesting period is very important for this wine, due to the delicacy of its aromas and to the fragile sensory balance in which acidity plays a fundamental role. Brigaldara’s Valpolicella is a very drinkable wine that expresses the traditional aromas and tastes of the valley. This 2023 is bright ruby in color with vibrant aromas of red currant, blackberry and fresh violet on the knockout nose. Quite juicy on the palate, with floral red berry flavors given laser-like precision by lovely harmonious acidity. A very well-balanced wine.
