Château de la Jousselinière 'Perle Bleue' Sur Lie Folle Blanche 2023
The Chon family were originally winemakers in Burgundy before Mathurin Chon left for the Atlantic Coast in 1670. He established this ancient Loire Valley estate in the Pays Nantais at Saint-Julien de Concelles in 1719. Some 300 years later, his descendants continue the family tradition with 60 hectares of organically farmed vines on granite & schist.
Perle Bleue is 100% Folle Blanche, aged in stainless steel, on the lees for added texture. Super crisp & bone-dry, with a zippy acidity, hints of pear & lemon-lime citrus, and a sea salt minerality. Great with herb-roasted vegetables, shellfish, or we think the perfect oyster wine!
