Ovum Cedar Ranch Vineyard Pinot Blanc 2022
Tasting notes
The 2022 Ovum Pinot Blanc is a reflective call to its majestic counterparts in Alto Adige, where alpine valleys meet oceanic influence. The wine embodies the crisp lightness of a mountain wine with riper pear, meadow flowers, and fennel. It also reflects the hot summer days of its growing season with aromas of fig, pineapple, and guava. Mysteriously high acidity enhances the minerality that oozes from the midpalate. Kaffir lime quietly creeps into the finish, which have the finess only Austrian casks seem to bind into our wines.

Cedar Ranch Vineyard is tucked into the southwest corner of Oregon, in an old creek bed in the Siskiyou Mountains. Ninety-degree days in peak summer are met with overnight lows in the fifties, helping maintain unusually high acidity while stressing the vines and forcing them to develop outlier flavor compounds.
