Cardedu Canonau Caladu 2020

Cardedu's vineyards are on the island of Sardegna, in its most mountainous and sparsely populated southeast.  The local Cannonau grape is fermented with native yeasts in cavernous cement tanks under the house; it's dry farmed without pesticides or herbicides.  A spicy and smokey grape variety, Cadedu's old vines (average 50 years old) give and uncommon depth to the fruit.  Decomposed granite soils keep the wines fresh.  All things grilled.
