Walla Walla Vintners Woven Fields Red Blend 2022
Walla Walla Vintners was the appellations eighth bonded winery, founded in 1995 by pioneering winemakers, Gordy Venneri and Myles Anderson. Over the next two decades, they built a reputation for elegant, age-worthy wines crafted in a labor-intensive traditional style, and served in a beautifully rustic setting in the shadow of the Blue Mountains. In 2016, Walla Walla Vintners was named “Pacific Northwest Winery of the Year” by Wine Press Northwest. When Myles Anderson retired in 2017, Gordy Venneri welcomed the Haladay family as co-owners, continuing the winery’s history of partnership. Together, they are working to maintain tradition at Walla Walla Vintners while envisioning the winery’s next chapter.
Tasting notes
The 2022 vintage of Woven Fields Red Blend shines with bright cherry and fresh herbs mingling with hints of unsweetened cocoa and cool slate minerality. The texture is pure silk, with fine-grained tannins that make this blend incredibly food-friendly and approachable. While 2022 brought its share of spring challenges, the perfect late-season conditions allowed WWV to craft a wine that punches well above its price point. It's the bottle you'll confidently uncork for wine-savvy friends, yet it's priced to be your everyday go-to.

On the palate, this wine is energetic and approachable, with flavors of ripe red berries, cranberry compote, and a subtle touch of baking spice.
