Château Tour de Pressac Saint-Êmilion Grand Cru 2019
Just 4 miles away from Château Ausone and a few hundred yards from Valandraud, two of the finest and most popular Châteaux in the world, you’ll find Château de Pressac, an ancient estate that dates back to medieval times, when this property was first functioning as a fortress. The name was given because in 1737 the current owners started planting the grape Noir de Pressac (aka Malbec). Today, this emblematic grape is used in all the Château’s wines.

Jean Francois has been pushing for high-quality wine since his arrival. Besides owning this recognized Château, Quentin is also the President of the Union of Saint-Êmilion, Pomerol and Fronsac, and the President of the Saint-Êmilion Wine Council.
Set upon a hill overlooking the valley, Pressac covers a total of 103 acres located in Saint-Êmilion Grand Cru. Perfumed nose of strawberries, cherries, bark, violets, cinnamon and potpourri. It’s medium-bodied with tight-grained tannins and fresh acidity. Juicy, yet firm and structured with pretty citrus notes. Drink after 2024. - James Suckling, 93 pts
Intense nose of dark chocolate an espresso, with layers of red and dark fruit complexity. Juicy and elegant palate. - Decanter, 94 pts
