Avennia & Liminal Tasting 12/8/2024
Please join us next Sunday, December 8th, with Thomas Woodley pouring wines from TWM local favorites, Avennia and Liminal.
Avennia is the Latin name for the city of Avignon in southern France. "One thing I always admired about French wines," notes winemaker Chris Peterson, "is the balance between fruit and non-fruit character. So I had this vision that we could make Washington wines that portrayed this balance, but would still unmistakably be Washington."
The Liminal wines are crafted by Chris Peterson exclusively from the WeatherEye Vineyard, the singular site atop Red Mountain. These are highly acclaimed wines, and mark the first time we have showcased them during a tasting!
"Winemaker Chris Peterson continues to fashion some of the most impressive wines in the State. These are always more classical in style and show plenty of acidity and structure in their youth, yet they blossom with just short term cellaring and are brilliant wines." - Jeb Dunnuck
We are lucky to have Thomas in the shop next Sunday pouring a line up of Chris Peterson's award winning wines from both Avennia and Liminal. Hope you will join us to find out why we love these so much!
Seating is limited. Reservation is required.
Tasting fee: $40 per person / $35 per wine club member (please make sure you sign into your account to receive the member pricing or call the shop)
Location: Tacoma Wine Merchants, 2112 North 30th Street
We will have some small bites to enjoy during the tasting. In addition to the wines tasted, all available Avennia and Liminal wines will be offered to order at a discounted price. Please email cheers@tacomawinemerchants if you have any further questions. We hope to see you here!
