Domaine Michel Goubard et Fils 'Mont-Avril' Bourgogne Rouge 2022
Michel Goubard’s family has grown wine in the village of Saint-Désert since the 17th century, and his sons, Pierre-François and Vincent, proudly continue the tradition of quality at this venerated Côte Chalonnaise domaine situated on Mont-Avril.
Tasting notes
A light garnet color, the nose is filled with fresh red berries. On the palate, the wine is finessed and lacey, with fresh fruits and a delicate structure.
Production notes
This Bourgogne Rouge is produced from vines averaging 25 years in age, planted in clay/limestone-based soils. The vineyards are planted on a well-exposed, south-facing hillside and are sustainably farmed. The Pinot Noir is aged for 12 months in cement tanks.
