Domaine Victor Sornin Beaujolais Villages Rosé 2022
Frederic Sornin took over the family estate in 1978 and is representing the 9th generation of winemakers in the Sornin family. He started an official sustainable conversion in 2000 under “terra vitis”, then started the organic certification in 2006 with Ecocert. Sornin produces certified organic wines in Beaujolais-Villages and Régnié, located near the lieu-dit “La Ronze” at the border between Régnié and Morgon appellations. The cellar and farmhouse are situated in Régnié among 35 acres of vines. The average of the vines is between 50 and 60 years old and the yields of production is very low (between 20 to 40 hl/ha depending on the conditions of the year). Thanks to this combination of factors, Sornin produces concentrated wines that are able to cellar, as well as this Beaujolais-Villages that is meant to be drank young (drink now or within 5 years).
