Figgins Estate Riesling 2022
FIGGINS was born from “the site” — Planting to the proper varietals, placement within the vineyard, trellising, and hundreds of other decisions that go into winegrowing with the ultimate goal — To elevate “the site” through the wine.
Tasting notes
Crystal clear golden yellow color. The wine has an explosive nose of mixed white flowers, ocean breeze, lemon rind, Bosc pear and biscotti. The palate is incredibly crisp and lively with notes of apricot, pear, and green apple. The freshness is complemented by a creamy richness. The wine is delightfully viscous yet has Riesling’s trademark acidity in perfect balance with the tiny amount of sweetness. The finish is refreshing and clean. Drinking fantastically now with no need to cellar, but those of you who love to lay down Riesling for half a decade or more will be rewarded.
