The intensive, detail-obsessed work naturally begins in the vineyard. It is thanks to Werner Schönleber's more than forty years of professional experience that the vineyards are cared for in an ideal manner. He has a feeling for when and how the work is to be carried out. This is important because every year brings new challenges. There are no patent remedies.
Frank Schönleber can also be seen frequently in the vineyard during the growing season. With the harvest, however, the focus of his work clearly shifts to the cellar, where he personally accompanies each wine from the grape to bottling. By handling the wines on a daily basis, he has a good feeling for their characteristics and knows how to deal with them.
Hanne Schönleber in particular maintains contact with customers. Nobody knows our customers and their needs as well as they do.
Anja Schönleber supports her mother-in-law in the office. In addition, she has the most important task in the family: promoting the next generation. The daughters Amelie and Sophia love grapes!
Classically Kabinett, that is with noticeable sweetness but enough acidity to balance things out so the wine finishes quite dry. Perfect for spicy foods, sauerkraut, lightly sweet desserts, or citrusy salads. Off-dry.
While Emrich-Schönleber is most famous for their dry wines, their Prädikat wines are rare birds that are simultaneously ripe and juicy, even sometimes a flash exotic, while also having a prominent mineral core and restraint. They are, as the dry wines are, impeccably centered and refreshing.
