La Colline Rouge (The Red Hill) is the translation of Rotenberg, the terroir this wine comes from. The Deiss family uses the French translation of their terroirs’ names for their predominantly skin-contact wines and keep the Alsatian names for their predominantly non-skin-contact versions.
