Pamplin Family Winery Red I.Q. 2019
Pamplin Family Winery was founded to pursue a singular goal – to craft the finest Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines with grapes sourced from the top vineyards in the Columbia Valley Appellations of Horse Heaven Hills, Red Mountain, Rattlesnake Hills and Walla Walla Valley. The vision for this winery is a collaborative effort between Bob Pamplin and his son-in-law Art North, who both share a passion for great wine. They are a family-owned and operated winery, dedicated to handcrafting superior quality wines through uncompromising attention to detail in the vineyards and winery.
RED I.Q. is a collaborative side project that is the brainchild of Art North and Robert Henry, Pamplin’s winemaker. Their goal is to craft a wine that over-delivers on quality at a very consumer-friendly value, a go-to choice for an every day wine at home.
Grapes for this wine are sourced from top vineyards in Walla Walla, Red Mountain, Horse Heaven Hills and Rattlesnake Hills. The 2019 is a blend of red Bordeaux varieties, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot Petit Verdot and Malbec; the combination is styled and structured with bright berry, vanilla and a complex layered finish. Red I.Q. is handcrafted with the same attention to detail as premium wines and is aged in 100% French oak barrels.
