Vignobles Brunier embodies the ensemble of the holdings by the Brunier family. Brothers Frédéric and Daniel are the fourth generation of their family to farm the land of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. They have worked hard to solidify the legacy left by their father, Henri, and their great-grandfather, Hippolyte. They have brought their intricate knowledge of the various terriors of the southern Rhône to new heights through the expansion of the holdings. Their properties represent a vast variation of soil types, climatic conditions, and grape varieties.

Since 2015, Daniel and Frédéric have introduced their children, Edouard (Daniel’s son) and Nicolas and Manon (Frédéric’s son and daughter), to the domaine, each overseeing different facets of the family business.

The Bruniers’ vineyards in the famed La Crau cru of Châteauneuf-du-Pape are the most pedigreed of the appellation, producing wines of exceptional quality and longevity at their domaine, Vieux Télégraphe. In 1986 the family purchased Domaine La Roquète, complementing their portfolio with additional wines, offering more affordable cuvées that showcase the diversity of terriors within their holdings. The “Pigeoulet” and “Mégaphone” wines are fresh, rich in fruit, pleasantly representative of their terrior, and easy to appreciate young. The red Châteauneuf “Piedlong”, sourced from the famed Piédlong lieu-dit with some fruit from the Pignan vineyard as well, is a profoundly mineral wine that balances elegance and purity with the muscle that is commonly found in wines from this great appellation.

The Mégaphone is an effort to highlight a terroir on the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail, previously used in the Pigeoulet blend. Mégaphone remains imminently accessible while showing the character of a more prestigious red. This 2023 Ventoux blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah announces itself loud and clear on the palate, with amplified flavors that are sure to reach a wide audience. Sweet cherries, licorice, garrigue, and dusty earth abound in this incredibly fresh and smooth red, with no gritty tannins.
