Julien Brocard ‘Les Plantes’ Petit Chablis 2023
A rare biodynamic Chablis producer, Julien split off from his family's winery (Jean-Marc Brocard) in 2011. From a 1.5 hectare parcel located just behind the winery with Kimmeridgian limestone. Most Petit Chablis are from hilltop vineyards and are grown in Portlandian limestone. Only 5-10% are grown in Kimmeridgian soil. Fermented and aged in large foudres.

Quite a pure and driven nose for a Petit Chablis, showing good restrained green fruit. Slightly tight, with a medium body and a lightly salty finish. A serious wine that’s Chablis in quality. Delicious now. - James Suckling, 91 pts
