Terre Stregate 'Manent' Aglianico 2021
Terre Stregate was founded in 1988 by Armando Iacobucci, and today is run by his children Filomena and Carlo. The family is in its 5th generation of winemaking, starting in 1898 with Filippo Iacobucci. In these fertile hills of Guardia Sanframondi, the ancient town of Sannio Beneventano is a region threaded with mysticism. The name "Terre Stregate", or "Bewitched Lands", reflects the congruence of historic reality melded with ancient myths borne of whispers in the hills and under brooding trees. Terre Stregate is fully organic, working with native varietals Aglianico and Falanghina grown on 25 hectares.
Manent is their Aglianico bottling, made from estate vineyards planted on calcareous clay hillsides that help give the wine its freshness and structure. Don't expect a brooding monster here. The style is more transparent, focused on freshness and the grape's natural mountain-cool acidity. A great introduction to one of southern Italy's most serious red varieties.

"Sweet lavender combines with wild blueberries and nuances of spice as the 2021 Aglianico Sannio Manent blossoms in the glass. The palate is juicy and round, with a flood of wild berry fruits and herbal tones lifted by vibrant acidity.
